Statistics of cases of accident
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate considered emergency situations that occurred in 2014 of which the circumstances of which were in most – non -compliance with the rules of traffic on the road. Also, for the winter and spring months, 4233 cases of accident were recorded, the reason is drivers who drive the car in a state of intoxication. Comparing the last year of this period, for this reason, the number of incidents increased by 2.one%. The mortality of these accidents decreased by 4.1% (678 died), and the number of wounded people increased by 2.3% that amounted to 6138 people. The most accidents with such drivers have happened in the districts of Siberia (9.5%), Urals (7.5%), and in the Far East (11.7%).
In 2014, an increase in emergency situations of the technical malfunctions of cars was recorded. During this period, these cases increased by 44.3%. There is an assumption that the inspection reform served as this growth, as a result of which the inspection of the condition of the car switched from the traffic police, to companies that are insured by a car.
Analyzing statistics can be said that the number of victims in accidents for every 100,000 living in the regions, the most unsafe regions became Kalmykia (138 were injured), Kaluga (124), Tyumen (116) and Leningradskaya (115).
