Our Shpio photographers once again tracked the updated version of the BMW 5-Series GT, which should debut this year.
5-Series Gran Turismo has long been required to update, since car sales do not correspond to the expectations of the Bavarian automaker. Only in Europe, where hatchbacks and station wagons traditionally love, 5-Series GT boasts good sales, while in Russia, USA and Asia they are very low. Therefore, there was only a matter of time when a plastic surgeon works on the appearance of the car.
The main changes will be concentrated in the back, which the Bavarians plan to make more elegant. The updated 5-Series GT will resemble the recently shown 3-SERIES GT. The front part will also change. We can expect the appearance of a new bumper with changed air intakes, while the headlights and a radiator grille will look like an updated 7-Series. In addition, minor changes in the cabin are expected.
Bavartsev engineers must also work with engines, making them more economical and more powerful.
The updated BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo should be shown in September this year at the Frankfurt Auto Show before sales in early 2014.
