The world famous Google Corporation does not cease to surprise with its innovative inventions. More recently, she introduced a conceptually a new car in which there are no such familiar management tools as a steering wheel and pedal. This car does not need the driver, and its movement is entirely entrusted to the on -board computer. Earlier, Google, together with concerns such as Toyota and Lexus, has already produced cars equipped with an autonomous control system, but all of them provided for the need for the presence of a driver who, in the event of an unforeseen situation, could take a driving at himself. There is not even a driver’s seat in a new miniature car, there is only a place for two passengers. On the monitor mounted in the panel, only the route is set, and the only way to control the machine is the emergency stop button.
The pilot version of an independent car limits the speed of movement up to 40 km per hour. This is caused, first of all, by the need to protect passengers, and not the technical characteristics of the machine, which can accelerate to 160 km/h. During movement, the computer evaluates the situation at a distance equal to the area of two football fields.
Google representatives believe that soon their development will supplant public transport from city roads and go on vacation to the bathhouse from a profiled beam, it will be possible to simply indicate the necessary route.
At the initial stage, it is planned to release 100 copies of a self -governing car. The developers of the model argue that the movement in it is very comfortable and pleasant, by its principle it can be compared with the driving on the funicular.
