From the last generation, the Ford C-Max family car distance from Focus, becoming an independent model. But in line the third incarnation of this compact van, the conceptual version of which the leadership of the concern presented as part of the international car dealership in Geneva.
Losis is true to itself
As expected, the new Ford C-Max has widespread use elements of branded kinetic design, which is an integral attribute of the new Ford Fords of recent years. The appearance of the car is based on the principles of LOSIS concepts, from which the last generation and the Kuga crossover sedan were also drawn. At the same time, many original design solutions appeared in the exterior of Ford Lossis Max. The hood of the car, like the rear side doors, was made with sliding to facilitate access to the motor compartment and the cabin, respectively. For the same purpose, the back door received a two -section layout. The roof of the concept is completely transparent, which significantly improves visibility to the driver and passengers. In general, the new Losis Max is very similar to the last Ford Fiesta: it has a similar sports design, a wide front air intake and a narrow frontal optics.
Italian notes
In addition, the Italian design studio Coggiola, which worked not only on the appearance, but also the concept of the concept of the concept of the concept. And if the car received quite smooth outlines outside, then broken forms prevail inside.
All four separate chairs are made of carbonate, and the front panel has a plexiglass base. All the main electronic systems, up to the wipers, have voice control.
Debut in 2010
As a power unit, a gasoline 4-cylinder turbo engine of the Ecoboost series, the capacity of which is 178 horsepower with a working volume of 1.6 liters. An aggregated motor with a 6-speed robotic gearbox PowerShift with double clutch. Largely due to the presence of the Start/Stop system, it was possible to achieve fuel efficiency at a level of 6 liters per 100 kilometers of mileage, and C02 emissions are reduced to 125 g/km. Similar motors in the European market will first appear next year.
For the same season, the premiere show of the serial version of the Ford C-Max is also planned. Then we will find out whether a lot of innovative design and engineering solutions will live to the conveyor.
