Jeep Renegade was presented in Geneva
The American company Jeep decided to pay attention to the segment of compact crossovers, which is currently the most dynamically developing. As a result, the Geneva Automobile Salon turned out to be a place of presentation of the new Jeep Renegade SUV.
The machine is the most compact in the manufacturer’s model line, and at the same time has much in common with the Jeep Wrangler model. This in particular concerns the straight lines of the body, the use of a rectangular radiator grill with vertical stripes (the so -called sleepers) and round headlights of the head light. At the same time, the car practically does not have a rear overweight, and the rear door device is more characteristic of the hatchbacks than to vehicles.
The size of the road clearance is decent 200mm, and in the special version of Trailhawk it increases to 220mm. The suspension move reaches 205mm. Optionally for the car, the driving mode “Rocks” is provided, which in the maximum configuration is included in the set of the provided options. The same story with a transmission has reduced transmissions. For all configurations, except for the top, this is an option for an additional fee. In addition, the machine is equipped with a system for the descent, as well as a massive steel protection of the engine crankcase.
The model is positioned as global, therefore, depending on the sales market, various options for power plants and transmissions will be offered. The crossover will receive six gasoline and diesel engines, one unit in a bit of the binding version, as well as four types of transmissions (-5 and 6-speed “mechanics”, “robot” and a 9-speed “automatic”).
The car is well equipped in the cabin, where everything is focused on the younger generation. Multimedia system, the ability to select the information supply mode on the dashboard, connecting external devices and much more.
