Auto Gigant VAZ told about the upcoming renewal of the legendary Niva SUV. According to the publication “Autosale”, citing the head of the Niva project – Anatoly Moskalyuk, the update will be made in stages.
So, this year, the most serious event is expected – improving the coverage of body elements. In the month of May, the conveyor will be stopped for a month – it is during this time that there is a re -equipment of the body preparation line. In particular, the process of primary soil will be changed, and new secondary primer materials will be introduced. Thanks to all this, the machine will receive a significant improvement in the quality of the paintwork. Moreover, from now on a new color will be available – “metallic”.
Closer to 2014, AvtoVAZ will process the internal interior “Niva” – a improvement in the doors mechanisms will be improved, the interior elements have been finalized, and noise insulation has been improved. The most complex stages of modernization are scheduled for 2015: replacing the front suspension units, improvement of the transmission and brake system.
“All chrome parts in the car will be replaced by black. Two -tin lamps will appear in the section of overall lights: one of the threads will play the role of daytime running lighting equipment. In addition, this year, we will be replaced by the nozzle of the windshield washer from the previous single, to more modern – double. A little later we will change the radiator lattice, ”commented the director of the modernization of the LADA 4 × 4 car – Yuri Akimov.
Among other things, the “Niva” set will also change, it will be based on two versions: with the ABS system and without it. So, already in 2014 there will be two options for configuration: “Lux” and “Standard”. “The Lux version will contain a fairly large list of options, for example, it will include electric windows, as well as heated external mirrors,” said Akimov. The power plant will also survive changes – according to the director of the project, engineers will reduce the fuel consumption of the unit by 1.5 liters.
The production of machines with the very first updates, within the framework of the “global” modernization of the model, is scheduled for April 1 of this year.
